Finda

Finda is New Zealand's second largest business listings site after Yellow Pages. It was always seen as a little bit quirky and edgy, so the new design had to reflect this, albeit in a business friendly way.

This was a bit of a strange project to be honest. I came in as a consultant and inherited a failed redesign attempt. I was tasked to turn it around, which I did with starting from the ground up. I worked with some great developers and managers to turn my UX and UI design into Front-end templates on a brand new backend platform, written in Django.

The extra odd aspect was unfortunately due to internal politics: After the Product Owner resigned, this fully responsive site was used only for the mobile side of traffic. The old and ugly desktop is served from a PHP backend, whilst the mobile and tablet are from the project I worked on.
